Heather’s projects are focused on neuroprognostication. She is currently quantifying outcomes of neurological trauma in mice using advanced statistical and machine learning approaches. She brings a strong toolkit of molecular biology and deep knowledge of mice from her graduate studies and her time working at Charles River Laboratories.

    • Advisor – Jill Morris, PhD: Studied the genetic underpinnings of schizophrenia and autism by exploring the postsynaptic interactions of DISC1 in the developing mouse brain. 
  • 2004 – 2008: B.S. Biology, The Ohio State University
    • Undergraduate Research Advisor – Berl Oakley, PhD: Studied the movement of kinesin motor proteins in Aspergillus nidulans through the creation of double knockouts.
